General settings cover your business identity and the authorised person on your account. Complete both sections as part of the account setup checklist.

Business Profile

Under Settings → General, update:
  • Business details — company name, business type, industry, description, TIN, and VAT number
  • Contact details — phone, email, address, city, country, default language, and website
Your company name and contact details appear on ClickPesa receipts, invoices, and payment pages.

Authorised Person

On the same page, add the authorised contact person:
  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email

How to update

Open General settings

Open Settings from the bottom-left sidebar and select General.

Edit your profile

Click Edit in the top right corner.

Save your changes

Update the fields and click Save.

Tips

Set up General settings before using payment or payout features. Default language here is used for merchant and customer notifications.
